Or you might not have a patio and may not want everyone inside. The carport may offer the perfect solution for the party venue.  With a little bit of effort, you can transform the carport into an amazing party venue within a few hours. Seating – make sure there are enough seats for everyone. Tea lights and led string lights can also enhance table settings.

Walls – carports can vary with how many solid walls are present. Some have no walls, some have one solid wall at the end, others are against the home so share the side wall of the house, and some might be enclosed on two sides. If you do have a solid wall in the carport then it is a good idea to utilise this wall as the feature wall. Use the feature wall to create visual interest in the carport, utilise the vertical space and make this area for photos with family and guests.

For the exposed poles of the carport wrap these in streamers or balloons. To completely transform the space you could opt for draping fabric over the walls (or the open sides of the carport and affixing to the ground), make a balloon feature, or a paper flower wall. On special occasions it is also nice to have photo collages on a wall to celebrate the occasion.

Ceiling – the ceiling of the carport is just as important as the walls to add to the ambiance of the space. This can be transformed with balloons, lanterns, string lights, draping fabric, or a combination of effects. Just be sure to stick to the same colour theme throughout walls, ceiling, and table, and decorations to tie the carport into a cohesive party venue.
